Volunteer!
We are so glad you are interested in volunteering with Store to Door.
Volunteers are the backbone of our service. Although they range from teens to people well into their 80's, they have one thing in common: a desire to assist neighbors who need a little extra help.
All it takes is a couple of hours a week to either take orders, shop or deliver. Volunteer today and start making a difference tomorrow.
Once registered, you can help with a variety of jobs:
- Taking grocery orders – You can take orders by phone from your home or from our office on Tuesday mornings or afternoons.
- Shopping for groceries – You can join us any Wednesday or Thursday morning from 8:30am to around 11:30am. We shop exclusively at the Stadium Fred Meyer located at 20th & Burnside.
- Delivering groceries - Deliveries are scheduled soon after the shopping, between 10:30 and 1:00pm. Wednesdays we deliver on the west side of town, Thursday on the eastside. You will need a criminal background check for this job.
- Special skills / odd jobs - If you have special skills such as writing, fundraising or marketing, we would love to hear from you.
